No, not something for totalitarian regimes...
Yes, I did a Humaliens update today and added in the Technology cards from New Order. Also added in the Alien Aversion ethic which I missed out from the last update for some weird reason. Well, that brings the grand total to 98 out of 152 cards. That's right 54 more to go and I'm about two-thirds of the way there. All that's left are the Pet Enhancements and the Actions. I think I might split out the Actions into two parts just to make them more managable. We'll have to see. I'll be so glad to get all the cards added though.
I did do quite a bit of MND stuff over the past few days, including updating three of the existing TG images with better versions. Two more cards got artwork for TG, a Nar and a d'Resh card respectively. That means only 5 more images are required to complete the set for playtesting - 3 d'Resh images and 2 Nar ones. I think 4 of those are creatures and the fifth is a Nar spell. Hopefully they'll get done near the beginning of next month... it's going to be a busy month next month as SP goes out of playtesting and into play as well.
TW is also making some headway artwise at least... the 6 Arderial cards have been named on the Custom Card Forum, and I have completed the outstanding artwork for all announced cards so far. So that's 30 cards named, all of them with the appropriate artwork. Started working on Core and Universal, but with 8 and 6 cards respectively there, it's taking me quite some time to find art that would fit the theme for both of them. TW also gained the first d'Resh card artwork over the last few days... and that brings the total to 51 cards with art, or over half of what I hope will be the expansion. Of course, that's excluding the promos for the set which I should be thinking about as well.
KQ#3 closed today and although there were less entries this time around, what was on there was actually rather good, or a least that's what I thought in my book. I've got to judge them later today and announce a winner between now and tomorrow though. It's going to be hard to do so, but someone is going to be rather happy with the 5 extra copper tokens. Next month will be the last card in the series... KQ#4 will feature Hidden Puzzlebox... and I best put that up in a bit so that people can start thinking about it.
The tournament is still getting on average a game a day... not many people are playing much though, which is a pity. Mitch has got 9 games... the first time anyone has got above the minimum required to qualify... although he was the only person who qualified in the last 2 tournaments anyways. Hopefully, in the 10 days or so remaining, a few more other people will qualify. The good thing is that everyone who joined in this tournament has played at least 2 games.
Before this becomes a runaway MND blog... I missed my Elemental tour yesterday. It was bad of me. Well, nobody showed up for it anyways so I don't feel too bad about it. Really though, I've got to remember about my tours... or at least the one shots. I see people playing around with Elemental, since it's featured this week. Hopefully, there'll be more than 3 people who'll show up for the tournament on Sunday. Somehow I doubt it... it is after all a silver token game.
I've been testing out a deck I've nicknamed Gruesome or GRUSM to be exact with LotR. It's not very good tough, but late in the game it does build up significantly. Still quite a lot of other decks kill it fast. The good thing is that the "M" part - Evil Men - complete with archery, wins the day most of the time. Still, it's not a power deck or anything.
Otherwise, I've been rather quiet on the CCGW front, unlike most people out there...
Tomi got sounds into Yahtzee over the weekend... that seems so cool though. Mark got his Monster Rancher cards... and I got a cardback. I forgot to take it home with me so I couldn't update the forum and Go Fish with it... it'll have to be after tomorrow I guess... so no points for guessing which game I'm updating tomorrow. Kev finally got Monkeys up. Now for the playtest. I wonder if anyone is playtesting with him... I should probably offer to see if there is a good time for a number of us to get together to play the game. Logan is busy with the fan made expansion for SR and he seems rather enthusiastic about it. Let the good times roll. Eric is back coding for the engine... although he has a secret project in hand... I wonder what he's going to be up to... maybe Ed will announce once things are ready.
While the ghosts (except Martin, who's on holiday) are at a frenzy working on their games, the junior PLs seems to be rather quiet. Craig seems to be the only person to break the trend by announcing that UC is almost playable. JC has got a few Rage bug fixes along the way, but nothing much is going on there. No news from Gray or Tony or Aaron or even Timmie... although Star Wars is experiencing a huge (and by huge, I mean over 200 games in the last 30 days or so) jump in the number of games played. People have been getting game passes to play SWD, which is a good sign. Now hopefully Timmie and Christoph delivers on their promises to make SWD the best online version of the game. Thomas is still trying to get the next DoomTrooper tournament out the door next month. He still has 10 days or so to go before the tournament starts. Hopefully they'll settle on a theme by then.
